Poppets (also known as Doll-Babies or Voodoo Dolls) are a contained spell and are constructed to represent whoever the work is being done for, or to, and used in specific spellwork which can be anything from love and passion to personal power and protection.
Cloth Dolls are made from cloth and stuffed with a mix of herbs, roots, minerals, and personal concerns. They might also be adorned with charms, roots, herbs, beads, clothing, photographs, etc. as appropriate to the work. The shown cloth Poppet was made for drawing a lover and while it may look a bit over-the-top, each of the adorned items is a specific representation of a desired aspect.
Root or Stick Dolls are made from assembled items such as roots and charms. The combinations can be made of anything, representing specific personal ties or wishes. The shown Root Doll was made for personal power.
